Programs: Residential programs consist of various apartment units and homes and are designed to provide adults with instructional services and living experience which allow them to achieve economic and living independence through fully supervised or semi-independent living programs. day and vocational program - the organization provides a variety of day services for adults and students, according to individual needs and preferences. These include school-to-work experience, vocational training within a workshop setting, and supported employment services including job placement, coaching and on-going employment support. A community options program also gives individualized support to people who volunteer in over 50 locations. This program includes job training, classroom instruction and education credential services from people in partnerships, inc. Some of the day and vocational program activities include:- source america - accesspoint ri, through its relationship with source america, holds a contract with the navy exchange stores on the newport navy base. This program employs twelve people with and without disabilities to clean over 72,000 square feet per day. The janitorial business is designed to train people in the janitorial field while providing a needed service to the exchange. - vocational training and placement - the organization's supported employment division provides vocational training and placement for people with disabilities and those who are seeking employment with a goal to move from welfare to work. The training includes certified nursing assistant courses, and food service training through the operation of a cafeteria and catering business. Computer training and office management programs are also offered. The training program is the only one of its kind in the state of rhode island and is open to all eligible rhode island citizens. - recreation programs - recreational programs are available at night and on weekends, as are various adult education programs. - living rite center - accesspoint ri's living rite center provides services to promote better health, better healthcare and better quality of life for eligible adults with developmental disabilities and/or dementia, who have multiple medical issues. Developed in partnership with the university of rhode island (uri), and funded through an award from the centers for medicare and medicaid, the center offers the opportunity for individuals to obtain interdisciplinary team consultations. The team includes a nurse practitioner, a nurse care coordinator, a living rite coach, peer specialists, various therapies as well as a dietitian. With the use of various state of the art technologies, the team provides treatment of chronic health issues. Professionals at the center provide education and resources to empower individuals and their caregivers to meet the individual's healthcare needs and improve health. The center provides access to care by a nurse practitioner and is fully accessible to individuals with mobility issues. The partnership with uri ended september 30, 2016 resulting in the program being downsized. - personal care choice - the personal choice program is designed to give long term care medicaid eligible individuals more control over how they receive personal care services. The goal of the personal choice is to provide a home and community-based program where individuals who are eligible for long term care services have the opportunity to exercise choice and control (i. E. , hire, fire, supervise, manage) individuals who provide their personal care, and to exercise choice and control over a specified amount of funds in a participant-directed budget. Participants choose a service advertisement agency and a fiscal agent to assist in making informed decisions that are consistent with their needs and that reflect their individual circumstances. child development program - the organization's child development programs for children with developmental disabilities include cornerstone school and creative beginnings toddler preschool and kindergarten, which are developmentally appropriate education and special education programs certified and licensed by the state of rhode island. Cornerstone school provides specialized education and healthcare programs for children with physical, cognitive and medical disabilities, while creative beginnings offers a "learn through play" curriculum that includes both educational and developmental goals for both typical and disabled childcare. The organization also provides in-home services such as home based specialized treatment (hbts), personal assistance support services (pass), and respite services to children and their families. Hbts and pass are designed to provide children with services to improve functional skills, promote emotional health and physical well being, increase independence, and facilitate full community participation. Respite services are designed to assume temporary care of the child with special health care needs within the child's home and community so that other family members can find relief from these increased responsibilities, or additional support during crisis situations.

Mission: Kenccid supports the people it serves to achieve their full potential through access to quality services and support. Programs: Kensington community corporation for individual dignity (kenccid) provides services to a wide range of adult males and females with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Kenccid assesses the best accommodation for each individual to assure suitable supports. Kenccid accomplishes this by taking into account the various limitations of each individual's ability and helping that individual achieve the utmost quality of life and living arrangement. Most individuals live in a two to three person home, while some individuals may reside in semi-independent settings or in a family-based supports; others are best suited in one person residential settings. For those who are retired and for those who choose not to attend formalized day supports, kenccid provides various individual specific social/recreational day activities. Kenccid works to develop community employment opportunities for all individuals based on their assessments, profiles and interests. These targeted activities and alternative social leisure integration have allowed individuals to build valuable social capital.

Mission: Looking upwards provides services for children and adults of all abilities, promoting growth and independence so that individuals may realize their potential and live fulfilling lives. Programs: Residential and conversion waiver programs - looking upwards offers residential services to meet each person's needs, ranging from 24-hour support in a shared home, to part-time assistance for people living in their own apartments or with family. The agency's staff fosters independence while supporting people to meet personal goals. The focus may include developing meaningful relationships, achieving personal health and safety, and living as active members of their community. day and employment services programs - in partnership with the person and his or her family, looking upwards assists with creating a unique, customized day that highlights the person's preferences. Looking upwards' day services support individuals to create meaningful opportunities for membership within the community, learn new and varied skills and expand talents and interests. Looking upwards employment services help people to find gainful employment through offering vocational assessments, job placement, on-the-job training, consultation for employers and the option of ongoing employment support. children and families - for children and families, looking upwards offers an array of services to support children to get the best start in life and to thrive as they grow. The agency's early intervention services support the optimal development of children from birth to three years of age. Both the home based therapeutic services and personal assistance support services help children and youth gain vital skills. These services support families and promote children's independence in daily life skills, emotional health, physical well-being and participation in community life. school and summer camp - looking upwards offers diverse services to schools, providing flexible approaches to helping schools meet the needs of every student. Behavioral consulting helps school staff to change the trajectory of children with behavioral challenges. Specialized paraprofessional services offers flexible staffing to support students' success. School-to-career transition services assist students to take what they've learned at school and apply it to life, including finding a satisfying job. Additionally, looking upwards offers an inclusive summer day camp that provides all campers with a summer of fun and adventure, while fostering important life and academic skills.

Mission: We assist children and adults with autism to reach their full educational, social and emotional potential by developing and applying innovative, evidence-based approaches. Results: Opened a licensed elementary (2010) and high school (2015) for children with autism; Launched our adult program funded by the Adult Autism Waiver (2009); Contracted with insurance companies to provide services under Act 62 (2010), added Medicaid funding for services (2018). Target demographics: Individuals with autism (ages 1-64) achieve their potential Direct beneficiaries per year: adults and children with autism by providing over 42,000 hours of service to improve their lives. Geographic areas served: Southeastern PA and Central NJ Programs: ABA therapy, Social Skills, Speech-Language Services, Toilet Training, Adult Services (job seeking/placement, supported employment, community inclusion), Occupational Therapy, and more.
