Mission: Organization's mission is to promote development in the albion trade area by loaning funds or furnishing sites and buildings for industries interested in locating in albion and its trade territory. Programs: The albion economic development corporation (aedc)gave facade improvement/sign grants to 2 local business and individuals totaling 10,000, project assistance of 76,250 to kimberly nelson and christo's lodge for economic development, 1,500 to equity fund of nebraska for an affordable home project, and a promotion of 1,000 to great plains state bank. The aedc also provides funds to the boone county development association(bcda), inc to promote the albion trade area.
Mission: Accion provides tools to help small businesses operate, grow or start their businesses. We increase access to business credit, make loans and provide training to help entrepreneurs thrive. Programs: Accion increases access to business credit, makes loans and provides training which enable underserved entrepeneurs to realize their dreams and be catalysts for positive economic and social change. In 2017 accion made 1,832 loans, for $21. 3 million, that created or sustained 4,142 jobs.
