Mission: The Arc is an association formed in 1950 by family members and friends of people with mental retardation. Today there are 120,000 members and nearly 1,000 state and local chapters. The primary objective of the Arc is to secure for all people with mental retardation the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work, and play. The Arc is further committed to reducing the incidence and limiting the consequence of mental retardation through education, research, advocacy, and the support of families, friends, and the community.

Programs: Community living - it is a major milestone in a person's life when they move into their own home, and adelante helps ensure that level of independence continues to be an option for people with disabilities. Adelante's community living program currently offers a variety of residential programs to meet the needs of people with disabilities in community-based, integrated environments. Choices include supported living homes which provide 24/7 care, independent living support in people's own homes or apartments, and home-based living for people who live with family caregivers. adelante facility support services provides total facilities management to commercial and governmental contracts at more than 25 major contract sites across new mexico. The agency's operations include the federal law enforcement training center, kirtland afb, governmental buildings, rest areas, museums, and recreation sites. Adelante provides long-term employment opportunities for people with disabilities through this work, which involves facility administration, maintenance, laundry services, dormitory services, janitorial work, floor care, and landscape maintenance. The facilities support services also provided over $1. 1 million in payroll for people with disabilities across new mexico. adelante business enterprises provides quality packaging, mailing, scanning, warehouse management, call center operation, document storage, and shredding services to businesses and governmental agencies throughout new mexico. Following a social enterprise model, the nonprofit agency provides valuable business services while providing employment for people with disabilities. Adelante's business lines exceeded their 2016 sales goals, added job opportunities, and provided nearly $1. 0 million in payroll for people with disabilities across new mexico. adelante has a preference for community based, competitive employment for people with disabilities. Adelante's community integrated employment service, employability, connects people with disabilities to over 100 employers throughout new mexico, helping people to find and maintain jobs. Adelante also operates the largest ticket to work program in new mexico with hundreds of successful job placements for people with disabilities. Ticket to work is a free, voluntary social security program that helps people who receive disability benefits return to work for the first time. Adelante's ticket to work employment network is offered throughout the united states. In all programs, adelante's goal is to help people with disabilites, disadvantages, and seniors improve their skills and quality of life. Adelante's community options provide opportunities for people with disabilities to volunteer, learn daily living skills, and explore their community. Offered in bernalillo, valencia, and sandoval counties, these programs serve as a training point for community-based, integrated learning opportunities.

Mission: The number of consumer run organizations is few and far between. Albuquerque Drop in Center's Board of Directors is 2/3 consumers as required in our bylaws. Our mission is to provide a safe and positive environment in which people with mental illness and people with mental illness and a co occurring substance abuse, will experience a positive growth in recovery (leading to a more productive and healthier life). Programs: Peer support of people living with mental health or co-occurring mental health and substance abuse challenges achr aims to help people experience positive life growth

Mission: Our mission is to empower the Native American Community of Albuquerque through the provision of services and programs designed to promote wellness, healing, self-sufficiency and tradition.Our mission is to educate and inform the public about the unique status of American Indian People.

Mission: To promote academic excellence and opportunity for outstanding students, with a significant financial need, to reach fullest potential. Results: 150 new freshmen and additional continuing students each year for 14 years. Target demographics: American Indian and Alaska Native students Direct beneficiaries per year: 150 new freshmen students and over 400 enrolled continuing students Geographic areas served: schoalrship administration Programs: Administering scholarship funds, calculate awards, disburse scholarship funds, maintain files, review and adjust award amounts and schools as necessary, and verify enrollment and academic status. Providing academic advisement as needed, coordinate student and leadership development activities, and facilitate college orientation and problem-solving strategies for students with campus services staff.

Mission: We provide financial support for American Indians and Alaska Natives seeking higher education, and support them in attaining undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. We partner with Tribes the federal government, foundations, corporations, and individuals to ensure the growth and sustainability of scholarships. Results: AIGC and AIGCS are the largest providers of scholarships to Native American and Alaska Native students in the U.S. We award $15 million annually to undergraduate, graduates and professional students and have awarded over $200 million since inception. We are proud to empower students from 500 tribes in 50 states, with over 20 educational funding opportunities and support services.
